Chaplain Ed Hatcher

Chaplain Edgar Hatcher is a Board Certified Trauma Responder with more than 1000 hours of specialized training in crisis and trauma ministry and over 1000 hours of field experience.  He is a Pastor of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America and served as a military chaplain for twenty-seven years.  He is currently a member of the National Organization for Victim Assistance, the Association of Traumatic Stress Specialists, the American Academy of Experts in Traumatic Stress, and the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation. 

He holds all six ICISF Specialized Training Certificates and serves as a trained trainer for ICISF’s Individual, Group Crisis, Advanced Group Crisis, Suicide Prevention, Strategic Response to Crisis, Schools, Law Enforcement, Stress Management, Grief Following Trauma, Psychology of Terrorism, Pastoral Crisis I and Pastoral Crisis II courses.  He is retired from the Air Force, where he served as Team Chief for the installation’s Critical Incident Stress Team and Staff Chaplain for Air Mobility Command.  He is also a member of the Federation of Fire Chaplains and serves as an instructor for that organization as well.
